Description
Two teams of four play on a small pitch with a mini goal in each corner. Each team attacks two goals and defends two goals. The two goals reward the team that sees the switch of play.
Organisation
35x28m pitch with four mini goals, no goalkeepers. Play 4 x 4 minute games with two minutes of rest. Progression: a goal after a switch of play counts double.
Coaching points
- Draw the defenders to one goal, then switch to the other.
- Give width: the players away from the ball move wide.
- Recognise the free goal early and play forward fast.
- Defenders protect the goal nearer to the ball and shift together.
