Description
A passing square with a pivot in the middle. The first player passes into the pivot, the pivot lays the ball first time into space, and the third player arrives on the run to receive it. The players follow their passes, so every player plays every role.
Organisation
14x14m square with a cone on each corner and one player in the middle. Five to seven players, two touches maximum, then one touch. Change direction every two minutes so players use both feet.
Coaching points
- The third player starts the run when the first pass is played, not when the pivot receives.
- The pivot checks away, then shows to the ball and opens the body.
- Play the lay-off into space in front of the runner.
- Call the name of the player before you pass.
